Danny Glicker

Danny Glicker's designs are built out of research and affection. His Academy Award–nominated work on Milk reconstructed 1970s Castro Street from photographs, thrift racks and living memory, so exactly that audiences who were there recognized their own clothes.

Across Up in the Air, Thank You for Smoking, Dahmer – Monster and beyond, he has argued for costume as characterization — the difference between a suit that fits and a suit someone bought hoping it would.

Glicker received the Golden Key for Costume Design in 2024, part of the festival's ongoing Costume Design Focus.
