Happy Campers

In a seaside trailer park in Chincoteague, Virginia, a working-class community gathers every summer to enjoy a little slice of heaven on earth: a shabby Shangri-La whose stunning sunsets and inviting waters lure a campground full of rusty RVs. Documentarian Amy Nicholson‘s observation ode to simple pleasures undoes any number of mobile living cliches while telling an all-too-common American story. Time is running out for this low-budget Utopia, as a developer buys the land for a much fancier resort, and its residents gather for one last summer together.
