Founded in 1822, Key West (Cayo Hueso) has played a colorful and vibrant role in American history and cultural life. Filmmaker Michael Kirk fell in love with Key West during a visit several years ago and really got hooked after he discovered the Key West Museum of Art & History at the Custom House, whose archives play a key role in the project.
