Synopsis
Directed by and co-written by Anthony Schatteman in league with co-writer Lukas Dhont (Close), this Belgian-Netherlands co-production is a teenage love story, full of all the roller coaster emotional swings, joy and confusion of first romance. It follows 14-year-old Elias as he strikes up a friendship with Alexander, also 14, a new neighbor who is openly queer. Despite his attraction to Alexander, Elias struggles with his feelings and pushes him away—an act he soon regrets, and tries to reverse.
