Art, love, and family drama (in more ways than one) come together in the new film from Norwegian auteur Joachim Trier. Renate Reinsve, the luminous heart of Trier’s “The Worst Person in the World,” returns as Nora Borg, a top-of-her-game theater actress drawn back into emotional turbulence by the return of her father (Stellan Skarsgård), an Ingmar Bergmanesque filmmaker who wants her to be the lead in his latest movie. Her refusal leads to a Hollywood star (Elle Fanning) taking the part – and a touchy reconciliation becomes more complex. Winner of the Grand Prix at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
