Synopsis
Celebrating the deep cultural connections between Key West and its island neighbor just 90 miles to the south – Cuba – we are honored to bring to the festival for the first time a selection of four, award-winning, Cuban shorts from rising filmmakers living and working in Havana, the USA, and Spain, and starring some of Cuba’s most renowned talent.
This collaboration was made possible thanks to the enthusiasm and friendship of Havana Film Festival Executive Director Yumey Besú Payo and its programming director Zita M. Morriña (who sadly passed away in August), and to Tropic Cinema/KWFF’s Aramis Ikatu.
